Emergency First Aid at Work
This will provide you with the skills, knowledge and understanding to administer First Aid care in an emergency situation. It can be used to train employees to undertake the role of an 'Appointed Person' for First Aid. The syllabus covers dealing with emergencies, resuscitation, managing an unconscious casualty, controlling bleeding and recognising and addressing common causes of illness.
First Aid at Work
This course is for people who are in work or in a work placement. It provides the relevant knowledge and skill development to enable you to become a competent first-aider in the workplace. The course will cover resuscitation, managing an unconscious casualty, treating and controlling bleeds, treating wounds, burns and scalds, injuries to bones, muscles and joints, eye injuries and other minor injuries, as well as the importance of personal hygiene and risks of cross infection. It includes identifying and dealing with shock, poisons, recognising illness, record keeping and using the materials in a first aid box.

First Aid at Work Re-qualification
This course allows individuals with a valid First Aid at Work certificate to update their qualification.
The course MUST be completed within 28 days of the expiry of the original qualification. It is designed to refresh and update your knowledge of all the skills gained in the full 3 day course and covers the same topics. (see above course for more info).
Students must provide Abbey Mead Safety Training with the original valid First Aid at Work certificate prior to commencement of their training.
